The Toad Motel
There's a place down by the pond
that's not too far away.
If you're a toad, if you're a frog,
This is where you'll want to stay.
There's lots of room to play.
It's just outside of town.
If you're a toad, if you're a frog,
It's the best place around. Come on and
CHORUS:Hop, hop, hop right in. Hop into the Toad Motel. Well you can
Hop, hop, hop right in. Staying at the Toad Motel.
Bacon and eggs with spider legs.
There's always something new.
Bagels and bugs at breakfast time.
Flies in the cream cheese too.
Leap into the swimming pool.
Think of all the fun you'll have.
Swimming underwater and kicking those feet.
Jump up on a lily pad. Come on and CHORUS:
When the sun goes down and the stars come out,
And if you're feeling all right,
If you're wide awake and it's getting late,
You can stay up croaking all night. CHORUS:
Lincoln Lobster ![]()
1.Lincoln is a lobster underneath the sea
Living in a place where he likes to be.
He's different from the rest, just like day and night.
Instead of blue and green, his shell's all white.
CHORUS: Lincoln Lobster, you better watch out!
You're a lobster like no other about.
Lincoln Lobster, you better watch out!
Will you stay in the ocean and never come out?
2. Lincoln is a lobster working through the night.
Ducking under rocks, keeping out of sight.
Food is on his mind. He's looking for a snack.
I guess he's never heard of a lobster trap.
Lincoln sees a box with a hole in the side.
He moves a little closer. Oh my, my!
He slowly crawls in. There's a dinner in the back.
Suddenly he's stuck in a lobster trap. CHORUS:
3. Opening the box, the lobsterman's surprised.
Finds a white lobster. Can't believe his eyes.
So Lincoln goes ashore for everyone to see. What a special
lobster he will be. ![]()
Will he go to Hollywood or Washington D.C.?
Will he run for president or sing like me.
There will be adventures and places to go.
Will he ever go back to the life he knows? CHORUS:
The Vegetarian Barbeque Moose
by Jean Higgins adapted by Rick Charette
CHORUS:Look out campers. Here comes Bruce
The happy vegetarian barbeque moose.
He likes the leaves on the trees and the green green moss.
But his own way of course.
He likes it all with barbecue sauce.
1. In the State of Maine, way up North.
A herd of moose came marching forth.
It's early in the morning and it's time to eat.
One bull moose wants a special treat.
One bull moose wants a special treat. CHORUS:
2. The campers watch and wait each day
To see if Bruce will come their way.
They hide in tents and stay real still
While Bruce licks the sauce from the barbeque grill.
Bruce licks the sauce from the barbeque grill. CHORUS:
3. Now the campers come from near and far
Barbeque Sauce in a special jar.
For the big bull moose who comes each day
And likes his vegetation his own way.
And likes his vegetation his very own way. CHORUS:
We feed hay to the horse and
Carrots to the rabbit
Folks up North have a brand new habit.
They eat their dinner and drink their juice
And leave a little bottle of sauce for Bruce
Leave a little sauce for the barbeque moose! CHORUS:
PESKY MOSQUITOES

Pesky mosquitoes, Pesky mosquitoes,
Wish you'd stop bothering me.
Pesky mosquitoes, Pesky mosquitoes,
Why are you all over me?
How about my brother?
How about my sister?
Wouldn't my dog be just fine?
How about the cats that live down the street?
Their flavor is better than mine.
Pesky mosquitoes, Pesky mosquitoes,
I wish that your buzzing would stop.
Pesky mosquitoes, Pesky mosquitoes,
Why do you want what I've got?
Take my red apple. Take all my juice.
Isn't my sandwich enough?
I bet there's something you'd much rather have.
I know what you want. It's my blood.
BRIDGE:You buzz in my ears. You fly up my nose.
You're biting my hands and my toes.
You're driving me crazy. You're making me mad.
You'd better leave 'fore you wish that you had.
Pesky mosquitoes, pesky mosquitoes
You think you'll never get caught.
Pesky mosquitoes, pesky mosquitoes
Your time's running out. You should stop.
Leave while you still have a shot.
It's too late now. Here comes a SWAT!
Pesky mosquito, pesky mosquito, pesky mosquito
Falling Leaves

Falling leaves from the trees.
Catch my eye.A sight to see.
Day by day, their colors change
Oranges, reds and golds.
Falling leaves.Windy skies.
Falling leaves start to fly.
Twirling down those falling leaves
Swirling round and round.
The leaves come down
down
down.
Tumbling to the ground.
Rake and gather and pile them high.
Scoop them up. Let them fly.
Falling leaves in the sun.
A gust of wind. They start to run.
I watch them fly. They hurry so.
I wonder where they go.
Falling leaves have disappeared
I look again. Trees are bare.
Another year as summer ends
Falling leaves again.
2nd ending:Fall comes in again.
Falling leaves again.
Taking A Look

Chorus: Taking a look, I'm taking a look. Looking through lots of photographs.
People I know, places I've been. Looking at the pictures again and again.
Taking a look, I'm taking a look. Looking through lots of photographs.
Family and friends. Much more to see. So many photographs.
There's a picture of me.
Here's one of Deedy washing her car
That Sunday we will never forget
Remember when the hose slipped out of her hand
Everyone got soaking wet.
Here's one of Jim jumping off of the rocks.
It's summer at the camp in Maine.
That's Patty for sure out on the lake
trolling for fish in the rain. CHORUS:
2. I'm sitting with mom. We're reading a book,
A story 'bout "The Polar Express." When the
boy looked in the box, found a silver bell.
That's the part I liked the best.
Here's one of dad with shovel in hand.
Snow is flying all around.
I remember when it snowed through the day and night.
It wouldn't stop coming down. CHORUS:
3. Here's me and my friends lined up in a row.
Having a race to the tree.
Suddenly I turned, ran the other way.
When a bee started chasing me.
Here is my family up on the hill.
Having a picnic that day.
Remember the ants that got into our food
And we had to brush them away.
Puppies
Puppies, puppies tugging on my shirt
Puppies in the backyard
digging up the dirt.
Puppies, puppies how they like to play.
Putting sticks in their mouths.
Puppies run away.
CHORUS:Puppies, they bring out so much fun.
Puppies are loved by everyone.
Calling out their names now here they
Come, come, come on, come.
2. Puppies, puppies hurry down the stairs.
Noses sniffing in the air.
Puppies everywhere.
Puppies, puppies run around the tree.
Chasing squirrels, chasing cats.
Now they're chasing me. CHORUS:
3. Puppies, puppies
quiet as can be.
Puppies soft and cuddly
Sleeping next to me.
Puppies, puppies riding in the car.
Tail are wagging. Tongues hang out.
Happy, yes they are. CHORUS:
5. Puppies, puppies, puppies love a home.
There's nothing like a puppy
of your very own.

1. It's early in the morning, I get out of bed.
The sun's out. I open up the door.
Heading outside. Go walking through the garden.
Just like I did the day before.
I go to pick a juicy red tomato. When what could be sitting on a leaf?
I move a little closer and I say: "Oh yuck!" What's that staring at me?
CHORUS:Slug, a slug, a slimy slug.
An ooey gooey, slippery, slimy slug.
I don't want to snuggle with. I don't want to hug. An
Ooey gooey, slippery, slimy slug.
2. I run back into my house to see if I can find
A tin can, a bottle or a cup.
I think I will be brave. I think I will be daring.
I'm going to try to pick it up.
I hurry to the juicy red tomato.
The slug's no longer sitting on a leaf.
I spot a trail of slime and I say: "Oh yuck!
Hey, has anyone seen?" CHORUS:
3. I continue searching under every leaf
but it's not anywhere in sight.
I think it might be hiding underneath a log
Maybe it will come back out tonight.
I finally pick the juicy red tomato.
Probably will cook it in a stew.
I'm looking at the ground when I say: "Oh yuck!"
What's that crawling up my shoe?

Hiking Up The Mountain
CHORUS:Step by step. Hiking up the mountain.
It's one foot down then the other.
It's rugged and rough but I'll get there yet
Up we go step by step.
1.It's morningtime. We're hitting the trail.
Deciding which way to go.
Sun's coming up. The sky is clear.
Three more miles and we'll be there. CHORUS:

Steeply
the trail does climb.
What a surprise! A moose tromps by.

Taking a spill. We're covered with snow. CHORUS:
It's getting
dark.
It's hard to see.
And I've got that hill in front of me.
But when I reach the top,
I'll do it again.
In The Great Outdoors
In the rain, in the sun
Going out. Having fun.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
In the wind, in the snow
Everywhere that I go.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
With a pack on my back
Hiking up the mountainside.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
From the top, way up high
I can see far and wide.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
CHORUS: There's a feeling that I get
When I go outside.
I can feel it from my head to my toes.
When I'm in the open-air,
Nothing compares.
It's with me everywhere I go.
On
my bike, hold on tight
Going
down a winding road.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
Going fast as I can.
What's ahead 'round the bend?
I want to be in the great outdoors.
Take a dive off the dock
In the summer when it's hot.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
In the pond with a splash.
Swimming out to the raft.
I want to be in the great outdoors. CHORUS:
Time to leave. Turn around.
Pack it up. Heading down.
I want to be in the great outdoors.
The day will end. But I'll be back again.
